Returning: Goals of the Week!

After some success with my step last week to eliminate the option of grabbing breakfast from anywhere but my cupboard, I decided to crank it up a notch and challenge myself to not eat out at all until Friday evening.

I think this is a big trick to my losing weight. If I'm eating foods made at home, I'm eating healthy and pre-portioned meals.  If I'm eating out, I'm eating whatever looks good to me in restaurant-size portions.  There's a big difference.

I"m actually feeling pretty motivated starting this week. I made meals yesterday, despite my horrendous caffeine-deprivation headache (which is completely gone today, BTW).  I ate my first two today.  They weren't insanely delicious, but they were okay.

I'm completely caffeine free right now, and that's also okay.  I wish I liked teas so I could have something to drink besides water.  But water is what's best for me anyway, so it's okay. (Unless you have a suggestion of something I could drink that doesn't contain harmful chemicals or too many calories like juices.)

My second goal for the week is to continue running, with three run/walking (or runking, as my friend Meghan has dubbed it) sessions this week.

Take a minute and think about your goals for the week. If you want, share them in the comments section below and we'll try and keep each other accountable!

  1. You got it, dude! (in the words of Michelle Tanner)

Also, I had full intentions of runking or wogging today until I got deep fried by the sun yesterday. Now, I'll have to wait a few days because I got burned on my knees. BAHAHAAH.

  2. 3 days of runking, and 2 days of ab work are my goals this week!
Also, does no harmful chemicals mean that you aren't drinking Crystal light, either? I'm so excited for you!!

  3. No, I'm still drinking Crystal Lite until I can find a better alternative. But I'm going light on the Crystal Lite.

    1. 100 crunches?! Amie, you're a beast. Jill, I'll keep my eye out for more natural alternatives. xo

    2. I was just thinking yesterday as I did my first set of crunches in MONTHS, why don't I do this every day?
