On today's What's Up Wednesday, I'm wondering what's in your fridge? Why do I want to know? Eh, I'm just nosy, I guess. To be fair, though, I'll go first. In addition to your usual assortments of condiments (ketchup, mustard, assorted salad dressings, BBQ sauce, soy sauce) and plenty of Diet Coke, I have the remainders of my meals for the week, cherry tomatoes, strawberries, and my lunch box ready to go for tomorrow (see pic at left). My meals this week were an Italian pasta bake and a low-fat cheeseburger pie. Yum!

In my snack drawer (see pic at right), I have cheese sticks, pepperoni sticks, individually packaged cottage cheese and apples and peanut butter. All of this individually packaged food helps me eat within my calorie range and pack my lunch quickly on the go.
Okay, now it's your turn. Whatcha' got in yo' fridge? What's a fridge essential in your house?
The most essential item in our refrigerator is cranberry juice. Without it, we cease to exist as a functioning family unit. (This is because Bryan and Anna generally will not drink water and I do not make sweet tea for them, per his request.)
ReplyDeleteOther than that, our door is devoted to condiments and other beverages, our top shelf is for breakfast items, our middle shelf/cheese drawer is for sandwich/lunch items, our bottom shelf is for supper items and leftovers. Our fruit drawer always contains at least one granny smith apple, and our vegetable drawer is always stocked with an onion and a green pepper.
Fun post!

Yay, this is fun!
ReplyDeleteMy fridge, like yours and Abi's had the traditional condiments/dressings in the door. I always have a pitcher of Crystal Light pink lemonade in my fridge because I don't usually drink water. I've got some cut-up strawberries, assorted lunchmeat/cheeses, a jar of salsa, eggs, butter/margarine and (in today's case)1/2 a rotisserie chicken leftover from making chicken salad.
I'm loving this! Abi, I love your organizational system and April- I had no idea you don't drink water.
ReplyDeleteMy new fridge is kinda sad and empty, since we just moved. There's milk, bread, peanut butter, some hummus, almond milk, and a lone bottle of radioactive green Gatorade. Oh, and about three different blocks of cheese. :)
