Stolen from the Facebook album of a friend...
I'm going to do what it says today and love where I am.
Things that make me love my life right now:
my roommate's couch
the grace and mercy of God
consistent workouts
consistent bowel movements
the people I work with
the people I hang with
the ample time I have to read
the upcoming visit of my parents and cousin
well-told stories
crazy dreams
Halloween costumes
Georgjetta (my car)
remembering God's truths
What about you? What do you love about where and who you are right now?

First of all, I LOVE that you are grateful for consistent bowel movements. Way too many people don't appreciate consistency in that area. :)
ReplyDeleteCurrently, I'm grateful for:
Paint
My dad
Green apple slices
Humor
British Accents
Top Gear
Emergency Kits
I love:
ReplyDelete-that for the first time in my life as a parent, Anna and B are on a schedule, and our whole family is thriving on it!
-watching B carefully toddle around the house, followed by excruciating-looking (but actually harmless and funny) falls on our hardwood floors.
-how much Anna loves reading, and that she is starting to not be intimidated by numbers
-going to the ocean so much with our little family.
-that we are having company TWICE this week!
-not working.
-caring for my family.
-reading encouraging blogs by the Stuckey girls.
-talking with Bryan.
-reading books about Native Americans.

-My Roku box
ReplyDelete-Broom skirts
-Singleness
-Lots of time to read
-"Arrested Development"
-Booda bones (peanut butter flavor), which occupy my dog so I can read and watch "Arrested Development"
-Frozen waffles
What do I love about where and who I am right now?
ReplyDelete-my job, that it is not sedentary.
-the kids in my class who love to hug me.
-having a husband who knows how to treat me perfectly.
-being in nature.
-how heavenly it feels around 8:00 in the evening.
-new whiteboard markers.
-that my life is full of possibility.
-how happy D is in his job situation.
-being excited to go to church on Sundays.
-having parents who love to be with me, never pressure me and are understanding of my schedule.
(I wasn't _feeling_ very happy about my life... but after writing this list, I kind of want to weep for joy. Thanks, Jill.)
Oh, and yes, I think consistent bowel movements are far underrated. I am ever grateful for those and my general health.
ReplyDeleteAlso Harry Potter.
ReplyDelete(Sorry about the many addendums.)
I am very glad you posted, Amie. I have been waiting for a solid 24 hours!
ReplyDelete~
At first I couldn't think of anything. Going back to work sort of has zapped me... And I'm mourning summer being over, so I was/am in a bit of a funk. Hopefully I'm on the upswing now. This blog post infused my soul with a bit of joy. Can't wait to spend time with my favourite GA family, DCB and The Stuckes. -amie
