What's Up Wednesday: favorite workout song

From time to time I update my music library by asking you guys to recommend some workout songs.  Today I'm secretly* doing that in the form of this What's Up Wednesday:  What's your current favorite workout song?

I think my two favorites right now are the two that have gotten me through my two most recent races. For both of these races, I was not allowed headphones, so I was forced to sing whatever song was stuck in my head over and over to keep me going.

First, at the Turtle Crawl Triathlon, it was "Magic" by B.O.B.:

Then at this past weekend's Heels N Wheels Duathlon, it was Mandisa's "Good Morning:"

What's your current favorite workout song?

PS See more of my favorite workout music here and here.

*I'm sneaky like that.

  1. My favorite workout song is... the wind moving through the trees before a thunderstorm--the times when Anna and B are riding quietly in the stroller, mesmerized by what is happening. A cool wind is moving in the trees and the leaves are making their dry dancing song-calling for the rain, reaching for the dark clouds and praying for them to burst. Little drops begin to fall and my feet pad lightly, steadily on the pavement... it's been a long time :)

  2. I don't have music when I run (or workout) but when I am in my classroom after school and need something jamming to get me working I usually play Super Massive Black Hole by Muse. And some Michael Jackson. Also, yesterday I was rocking out to Britney. (I got Spotify, which is like Pandora only you handpick your songs. It's amazing.)
