What's Up Wednesday

It's our second edition of What's Up Wednesdays, and I'm wondering "What's your guilty pleasure food?"

By guilty pleasure food, I'm looking for what food you absolutely love, but feel like you shouldn't really be eating or are embarrassed to admit you eat.  I'm really hoping that I'm not the only one who has guilty pleasure foods and can't wait to hear what yours are!

I was going to say ice cream, originally.  I love ice cream and it is way easy to overindulge with.  It's just such creamy, smooth goodness. However, I didn't think that was exactly a guilty pleasure.  So instead, I'm offering up Nerds and Combos.  I don't buy either one all that often, but both are perfect road trip foods and often last minute purchases in the Wal-mart check out line.  Plus, once you start munching on them, you just can't stop.

I'm dying to know, what's your favorite guilty pleasure food?

  1. It used to be s'more poptarts. I could eat a whole box at a time. But I quit for a while and when I ate one this morning, it just didn't do it for me.

So, I'm going to say waffles with nutella. Which isn't all that bad . . . until you eat four a day.

    Also, Pringles.

  2. Christmas: chex mix, green m&ms (I don't eat the red ones), and homemade cookies.

Easter: Cadbury eggs and starburst jelly beans.

Just thinking about you and Amie visiting makes me crave brownies and Nutella.

All year: If I'm going to buy something the check-out line, it's going to be Skittles, bite-sized candies : )

  3. Okay, so many of my "guilty pleasure foods" have recently become "give me IBS foods". Seriously. Ask Amie about the Pringles. (which used to be one of mine)

My list is (in random order):

    1. Slim Jims (still on my list)
    2. Chocolate Pop-Tarts (might soon be off my list)
    3. Chocolate covered sweet sixteen doughnuts (still on)
    4. Dr. Pepper (might soon also be off)
    5. Pringles (sadly, no more)

  4. Also, Soft Batch cookies. Gah...

  5. I have so many guilty pleasure foods that I thought I would share some with some of you, but none of the foods any of you have mentioned turn me on. Wait...except Pringles. It's amazing how fast one of those cans can disappear. And green m&ms (although I am not color prejudiced and would eat M&Ms no matter the color.)

  7. The glass bowl of Green and Red M&Ms that has been refilled several times over the course of the evening now lies mostly full and untouched.
The candy coated chocolate candies reflect the white lights of the Christmas tree
The room smells of the wood burning in the fireplace, perfume, and my mom's wassail
We are full of the deliciousness that took hours of loving preparation
Aunt Carolyn is snuggling with my uncle the only time she does all year, after several glasses of wine
And we sing Christmas carols while my Aunt Sandie plays the keyboard and her dog Bach barks along.

  9. Love a good shake. There's a local joint that makes a peanut butter one. Re-di-cu-lous! I also like just straight up chocolate chips. Mix em up with some pretzels. Chips are on the list too--Doritos, more specifically.

  10. Coke Zero
    Midnight Milky Way bars
Nerds...it used to be a huge problem. People associated Nerds with me.
    Cheese.
