January and February were all about the arrival of my newest niece Natalie.
In March I went to England and France.
In April, I got to spend a week living and serving with 100 teenagers.
In May, I jumped out of plane at 14,000 feet.
May 21 is my first triathlon. That's the last adventure (and last race) on my horizon. In June I will get to enjoy our (almost) annual family beach vacation, which is one of the best weeks of the year, just not exactly an adventure. After that I've got nothing planned and practically no more vacation time.
I've gotten used to the adventure life. I like trying new things, I've discovered. So I'm looking for other adventure ideas. They don't have to be extreme sports or extravagant vacations, just something new, different and/or challenging (and preferably don't require huge expenses or vacation time). Anybody have any suggestions for me?

Bungee jumping.
ReplyDeleteEventually becoming a Zumba instructor!
ReplyDeleteJuly-go hiking and waterfall hunting--swim in ice cold water beneath the most spectacular waterfall in the world. There is also a mud pit. Wanna come?

Have you tried geocaching? It's a great way to make a walk/hike a lot more interesting :)
ReplyDeleteParasailing on your beach trip!!!
ReplyDeleteKayaking? Especially since river walk is coming into its own.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous- Sounds awesomely scary! I'll think about it.
ReplyDelete@Britt- I am ridiculous looking when I Zumba.
@Abi- Yes, of course, waterfall hunting!
@Mel- I haven't geocached, but I don't really get the appeal.
@Cara-Sounds expensive, but I'll look into it.
@Matt-I love kayaking, just don't own my own and it gets expensive.
It only cost $11-$15 to kayak Lake Wylie from McDowell park... but it just wouldn't be the same without Bryan England there.
ReplyDeleteI think we should go do a high ropes course somewhere.
@ Amie- I was expecting you to say camping should be my next adventure, but I'd be up for high ropes.
ReplyDeleteThere is a high ropes course at Ridge Haven, but I bet you could get a great deal on doing the one at Winthrop!
