A Little Press

Today I received some news coverage for my weight loss success.  The editors (and current blog readers) of our  bi-weekly faculty/staff newsletter at school chose to feature me in a profile.  My cubicle-mate Meredith wrote the story, which I think turned out fabulously.
Check it out below.
(If you're having trouble reading it, I believe you can just click on it and it will open full-size.)

PS Welcome to any new readers.  Tomorrow I'll try to do a "best of" post round up to get you up to speed with us. :)

  1. 2 Thoughts:
    1) When reading the article, I noticed the author referring to you as "Stuckey" and I was like, "Who else calls her that?" (Like we are the only people who can do that or something.) This was followed quickly by, "Oh yeah, this is an article, she's supposed to do that."
    2) You are an inspiration to me, not just to strive for a healthy physical body, but your journey challenges me to overcome obstacles in my life to be my best self, the self God created me to be. Your blog consistently points me back to that goal and encourages me to be a better person.

  3. "You have to decide which hard to live with." Great quote.

  4. Honestly, I think it was that quote that inspired me to consider changing my eating habits. Because you're right, Jill -- It's hard to make lifestyle changes, but it's also hard being unhealthy and overweight. So why not pick the hard that improves my health? I never thought of it that way, but it makes so much sense.

  5. I was thinking the other day "It's not fair, I love to eat." Which made me think of the flipside of the above hard statement: "I love to eat, but I also love being this smaller size. I've gotta choose which I love more, I guess."

  6. Great article, I'm a new blog follower because of it (see my comment on your older post). I too, loved the "decide which hard to live with" part.
