My friend, April, and my pastor Talbot both do occasional posts on Tuesdays called Top 5 Tuesday.
I've never done one before, but for as many years as I can remember (which is not nearly as many as it may sound, I have a terrible memory), my cousin Sarah and I have exchanged a list of our Top 5 favorite movies from the previous year, once the new year dawns.
We have different tastes in movies, so we very rarely overlap on our top fives.
Anyway, we did this again last week, so I thought I'd share with you my Top 5 Movies of 2012:
First, Honorable Mentions that didn't make the cut, include:
Silver Linings Playbook, Looper, The Lucky One
5) Hunger Games
4) Lincoln
3) Perks of Being a Wallflower
2) Les Miserables
1) Pitch Perfect
Pitch Perfect is definitely the BEST movie of the year. If you haven't seen it yet, you should rent it now!
I agree with most of these! Lincoln was DEFINITELY a let down. I did not like it. Abraham Lincoln Vampire Slayer though... PERFECT. Also, I have not seen Perks of Being a Wallflower. AND PITCH PERFECT. YES.
ReplyDeleteDidnt know pitch perfect was out already! My five would include PS I Love you, Under the Tuscan Sun, and Jurassic Park. Gotta think on the other two.
ReplyDeleteI must see this "Pitch Perfect" to see it outrank Les Miserables! I agree with you on "Lincoln". Really moved me. I think I loved the "Hunger Games" only because of the books...I don't see very many movies, so I can't add any. Thanks for your Top 5 Tuesday! KLB
ReplyDeleteI will let you borrow Pitch Perfect!
