However, things have become serious. As I pulled on one of my more forgiving pairs of pants this afternoon and had to suck in a little to get them zipped, I realized I had to face the music.
I'm lazy.
I always have been somewhat lazy in life. Currently my laziness is a major contributor to my week off from blogging and my recent weight gain (I haven't weighed since the beginning of September, but I know I've gained. I can tell by the spare tire that has appeared where my stomach should be.) I was being too lazy to even think thoughts that could eventually become blog posts, preferring instead to read children's books voraciously. (Harry Potter is technically a children's book.)
So to end, here's today's motivation for being healthier (in no particular order):
- The Mud Run is in four weeks
- I'm going to be seeing my granny (an avid reader of this blog) in 2 months. I haven't seen her since I started this journey just after her 90th birthday party two years ago. I want to look my best for my November trek to see her and other extended family members.
- I prefer it when pants fit
- Tomorrow is Monday and Mondays are great days for clean starts.
- I would rather my stomach not look like I swallowed a spare tire
Now, the trick is to carry this into next week. Who's with me?
ME ME ME! This temporary move has been HORRID on my diet/exercise plan. I keep making excuses about not being in my own kitchen or not knowing where I can exercise but the bottom line is that I, too, am lazy.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow is a fresh start, friend!!
I am so in! I have got to get serious about the Mud Run.
ReplyDeleteI'm lazy too Jill! I have had ankle pain from for the past few weeks and have turned that into an excuse to not exercise at all! I was thinking Monday would be a clean start for me as well.
ReplyDeletei'm in too-Cindy
ReplyDeleteI am IN! I am loving training for the Mud Run, I have weaned B, and my core is getting firmer; however, my jeans, as well, would look better on a leaner me. Let's ROCK THIS! LOVE!
